COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

We will evaluate your fit for this role based on a series of test projects. The first test project is unpaid and the remaining test projects are paid. These test projects will help us evaluate: 1) the quality of your work 2) the speed you deliver 3) how independently you operate 4) how much additional training is required 5) how well you track with and respond to revisions 

If you make it to the final round of test projects we’ll schedule a formal interview and talk about compensation. Ongoing work would start as project-based with a fixed price for a specific number of deliverables and would ideally evolve into a full-time remote position.

Studio Kind is a strategy-led branding and web design studio built for bold brands and industry leaders. We help our clients align their vision, voice, and visuals — crafting stories that connect and building top-converting websites that make them impossible to forget. Our clients are leaders and visionary entrepreneurs — many of them multi 6 and 7 figure founders building serious legacies.

Who We Are

THE OPPORTUNITY

In this role, you'll work directly alongside Ria Johnston — founder and Creative Director of Studio Kind, a designer who has trained under Chris Do and Anna Nassery and who has been featured by Condé Nast, Voyage Dallas and Squarespace. You'll receive hands-on creative coaching and real exposure to industry-leading brand projects.

Required Skills

- Website design in Showit (or mastery of a similar platform)
- Website Template customization 
- Website wireframe UI design in Figma (desktop and mobile)
- Design presentation decks and PDFs 
- Instagram, Pinterest and social media post design
- Sprint-style project execution (such as website in a day services)

BONUS SKILLS (Not required to apply)
- Design of: logos, typography systems, color palettes, and brand guides 
- Mood board design and creative direction in Pinterest
- Short-form video editing for Instagram, Tiktok, etc
- Domain connection / transfer implementation
- SEO and keyword research

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- You're a designer who takes their craft seriously and loves being creative
- You bring energy and a positive attitude to work  
- You’re fluent in English (both written and spoken) 
- You’re able to respond to email quickly between 9 AM – 6 PM EST  
- You have consistently high-speed wifi
- You are able to work while on a video call and or while screen sharing 
- You’re reachable on Saturdays during active client launches and sensitive deadlines — this is a real requirement, not a preference 
- You’re comfortable with being self-taught and learning new platforms from video tutorials and written instructions.
- You have mobile notifications on so that you are easily reachable during working hours
